A lot of people have contacted me and some ask about a home based franchise business opportunity that is legitimate and that actually doesn't s*ck. Wow, how novel is that? If I look at what's out there I see a lot of garbage. I'll tell you why most home based franchise opportunities are no good, and how to find one that is (even if you don't buy one from me). There are three things that make a good home based franchise business opportunity:

1. A successful operation you can verify for yourself. That means the franchisor must have a very successful business already. And I don't mean successful selling franchises. I mean successful running the exact same business they are trying to get you into.

2. A business with a market you can check out for yourself. You should be able to do some market research on the home based franchise business and see the opportunity for yourself. Talk to prospective customers. Satisfy yourself that the demand is great and that these are not just "oh that sounds good" kind of prospects, but "I'd definitely want to buy that now" type of prospects.

3. Not a huge amount of selling required. I've pointed this out — people who get into a home based franchise opportunity that requires a lot of selling are going to find it very hard to succeed.
