Legitimate home based business opportunity franchise
It is hard to find a legitimate home based business opportunity franchise these days. There are a lot of scams. And people pour their money into various things. And there are a lot of business opportunities that may not be scams, but aren't areas where people make much money over the long haul.
I've said before that I'm not a big MLM guy. I have no objection to others doing MLM but I don't like it.
Then there's this "reverse funnel" whatever that is. A guy lounging around at the beach. But what kind of business is it? I would rather know what I'm getting into before I spend much time researching it.
(And now's a good time to join my super duper very confidential list to gain instant access to a legitimate home based business opportunity that could, who knows, rock your world. Always confidential.)
I once had a home business opportunity franchise that involved something where then, as now, people were making very good money. But it wasn't sexy. It was a business buying and selling used equipment. Kind of like eBay. A little ahead of its time. Point being, I couldn't sell that franchise and make any money even though the people who bought a franchise did (and still do) quite well.
I hate to say this, but people looking for a home business to get into — they are often fooled by slick operators. It's as simple as that. There is a dream that we all have — of padding to the mailbox to collect the checks with little else required. But that is just a dream. In real life, you can hope to get a home business opportunity that is legitimate if you are realistic about what you will have to do.
So here is what is on my list of ideal home business franchise opportunities:
Little or no selling home based business opportunity
So that's one thing — if you have to do a lot of selling, why not just broker someone's product? Why invest a lot of money in a franchise if you have to work oh so hard selling?
Repeat business — it's reorders for a home based business that make money
Deal with the same folks over and over. That's what you want. Reorders. Businesses where you sell something once and then move on — they involve a lot of marketing costs to find prospects. I don't like that because a lot of that marketing cost must be invested up front.
Little competition in your little niche
If you are doing something and butting heads with ten other people in the same business, who needs that? But there must be some competition. Because if there is no competition, there is a reason — the business is no good.
Legitimate home based business
It has to be something I'm proud to explain to my family and friends. No porn. No vending machines. Those aren't much good anyway. I like something I can pass along to my heirs, not something I am ashamed of.
